It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of Victor Dorsey, who died on August 29 following a short illness.
Vic was a familiar and trusted presence on our campus for more than two decades. He joined the University in 2005 and served in several roles within Campus Safety and Security before being named Director in 2017. He retired in February after 21 years of dedicated service to our community.
Before joining the University, Vic proudly served our country for 20 years in the United States Navy. That same spirit of service defined his years on our campus. His steady leadership, protective presence, and commitment to the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff earned the respect and appreciation of colleagues throughout the University.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Vic’s wife of 40 years, Constance, their daughters Tiffany, Shelby, and Brianne, and all of his family and friends. We are grateful for the many years Vic devoted to our University and will remember with appreciation his service to our country and our campus community.
Please join me in keeping the Dorsey family in your thoughts during this difficult time. |
