I
write this morning to inform you of additional changes to our critically
important enrollment management program. Last week I notified you of the
change in leadership and reporting relationship for the department.
I
write now to keep you abreast of other actions we are taking to prepare for the
2015-16 recruitment cycle. We have parted ways with our former consultant and
have decided to collaborate with a group that has a successful history in this
arena. I have asked John W. Dysart, President of The Dysart Group,
Inc. of Charlotte, NC and Chicago, to complete an assessment of our
overall enrollment program and to develop an immediate proactive action plan.
Mr. Dysart and his staff have devoted significant time over the past 10 days to
analysis of our data. He will be on our campus on Wednesday, August 12 to
meet with a wide variety of campus constituents.
Mr.
Dysart has consulted with more than 150 colleges and universities in 35 states
and specializes in business modeling for private liberal arts colleges. While
the majority of his consultations have been related to enrollment management
and growth, he has a specific expertise in tuition modeling and financial aid
issues. He has gained widespread recognition as an expert in integrating
enrollment management with institutional objectives regarding net revenue,
budgeting and strategic planning.
The
Dysart Group has a long history of providing high quality results for private
higher education. Mr. Dysart’s creativity, analytical ability and
motivational skills have enabled him to achieve extraordinary results. I expect
the same at Virginia Wesleyan College.
