As you are aware, I value Study Away
as an important part of a national liberal arts college experience. Lena
Johnson, director of study away/international programs, recently shared with me
some of our current students’ learning adventures as they study away.
From Clarity’s first plane flight while on her way to Panama and Josh’s first glimpses of the Arco de Trunfo in Barcelona, to Stephanie’s experience filling her water bottle at one of Rome’s 2,500 public water fountains (called Nasoni), I have no doubt that all of our students’ study away experiences will be transformational.
