Virginia Wesleyan College senior outfielder Courtney Bogan earned CoSIDA
Academic All-American Third Team honors as the teams were announced
today. Bogan, a native of Round Hill, Virginia, recently graduated with a
degree in psychology after compiling a 3.54 GPA. A force on the field
as well, Bogan led the nation with 70 steals and set the school, and Old
Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), record with 173 career steals. She
earned All-ODAC First Team and All-Atlantic Region First Team accolades
for her performance. She finished the year with a .417 batting average
and a team-leading 57 runs scored. Bogan is the fourth CoSIDA Academic
All-American in program history, joining Alison Mazur, Mandy Nixon, and
most recently, Tori Higginbotham in 2014.
