Busy Day at the VAUMC Annual Conference

A busy day at the Hampton Roads Convention Center as we met with pastors and delegates representing the 1,100 United Methodist Churches in the Virginia Conference. The day started with my final meeting as chair of the Association of Educational Institutions and was followed by our AEI presentation to the Annual Conference delegation (below). My term as Chair ends today—it has been an honor and privilege to serve in that role the past two years. We also had a great turnout at our luncheon for Virginia Wesleyan pastors who serve the Virginia Conference. Great to have our 2018 Baccalaureate Speaker, Karla Kincannon ‘76, ‘18, and her husband Jim Noseworthy with us for the occasion. Jim is the former Assistant General Secretary for Higher Education of the United Methodist Church.
