President's Letter: With Gratitude for Provost O'Rourke

VWU Provost and Vice President Tim O'Rourke (center), announced this afternoon his decision to retire at the conclusion of the academic year. He has served Virginia Wesleyan with distinction as chief academic officer since 2007 and I am extremely grateful for his significant and lasting contributions. He will be truly missed, but I congratulate him on a well-deserved milestone. 

We have a talented and respected successor to Tim in our Associate Provost, Maynard Schaus (left). Accordingly, I have appointed Maynard to be Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective July 1. We are fortunate to have these two superb leaders as part of our Virginia Wesleyan family.
