Luncheon with UMC Colleagues

We welcomed Acting Bishop of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church Peter Weaver, along with Superintendent of the Eastern Shore District, Alex Joyner, Superintendent of the Elizabeth River District, Wayne Snead, and Director of the Association of Educational Institutions, John Peters. Joining us for a luncheon discussion of the future of Methodist and Methodist-affiliated colleges and universities in Virginia were VWU Trustees Susan Beverly '72, Nancy DeFord, and Henry Watts. It was a productive meeting, and great seeing longtime friend and colleague Peter Weaver, who is serving during the medical absence of Bishop Sharma Lewis.
