Hofheimer Happenings: October 2021

OCTOBER 2021

“What’s the scoop at Hofheimer Library?” is the theme for an ice cream social co-sponsored with Residence Life on Friday, October 15, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.  While enjoying ice cream in the library, take the opportunity to interact with Hofheimer librarians with questions about the library, including how we can help with your research needs.

"Pizza and the Polls" will be held on Tuesday, October 19th, 11:00am - 12noon in Hofheimer Library's Foley Classroom. Co-sponsored by the Office of Civic Engagement and Service Learning, stop by for a slice and valuable information about the voting process in Virginia.

Faculty Staff Book Club will take place on Tuesday, October 26th from 12noon - 1:00pm.  We will be discussing The Heart by Maylis de Kerangal.  Feel free to bring your lunch.  All are welcome to join us on the library’s “front porch!”

We are honoring LGBT History Month with a book display on the Reading Room floor (1st floor).  Also, the Banned Books Week display is still up near the 24-Hour Study area.  Books on display in the library are always available for checkout. Just choose a title and bring it to the front desk!
