The ninth chapter of the 2021-2022 President to President thought leadership series is now available online. In “Toward a Post-Pandemic Preferred Future,” Portland Community College President Mark Mitsui, M.Ed., examines the critical role that higher education will play in the post-pandemic world. He describes how colleges can promote greater equity and help address social issues, and he offers examples of programs his campus has implemented to actively work towards these goals while preparing students for the jobs of the future.
This year's President to President series, titled “The Vitality and Power of Higher Education,” examines how the role of colleges and universities has changed in recent years and offers ideas about how to move forward in this new reality. Notable higher education leaders share their perspectives in a new chapter published online each month, providing firsthand insights into how colleges and universities are adapting to shifting expectations and helping students and communities thrive. We hope you enjoy reading each chapter and find value in the ideas and strategies they contain.
Sincerely,
Executive Editors:
