Do you hear what I hear? It's the sound of Marlins everywhere swimming with pride as our women's soccer team heads to the Final Four of the NCAA Division III National Championship. We hope you'll join us tomorrow in Salem, Virginia, or watch online to cheer on the Marlins.
Or maybe it's the sound of applause as our students continue to shine in and out of the classroom. Two students received inaugural “outstanding student” accolades from the Danicas Foundation. The student-led Marlin Business Conference, "Creating Careers for Change," was a true success. Our Esports program, established in 2019, has grown its lineup and its roster, now supporting four games and over 35 competitors. The University was once again recognized for making intentional efforts to increase student voter participation by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, and we honored our country's heroes on Veterans Day.
Or perhaps it's the sound of VWU students on campus and around the world counting the days until another wonderful semester comes to a close. Our fall editions of Virginia Wesleyan University Magazine and Excelsis, a publication of the Batten Honors College, are filled with updates from our busy semester and beyond.
Whatever it is, we hope you enjoy "hearing" all the VWU news.
