Chartered in 1961, Virginia Wesleyan first opened its doors to students on September 14, 1966. Since its first graduating class of approximately 75 students in 1970, our community has grown to include approximately 1,500 students and nearly 10,000 alumni. Our Founders Day tradition honors the University's establishment, recognizes important individuals in the institution’s history, and celebrates our bold future.
Earlier this week I shared the Founders Day schedule, which can also be viewed on the VWU website. Two of the day’s events will be broadcast live, so if you are unable to be here in person, please join us online:
Watch Live: Founders Day Convocation (11 a.m.)https://boxcast.tv/view/founde
Watch Live: Greer Environmental Sciences Center Ribbon Cutting (6 p.m.)https://boxcast.tv/view/greer-
