Weather Alert

Students, Faculty, and Staff: The University will resume normal operations on Monday, January 8. While main roadways have been substantially cleared, they are likely to be icy in places and side roads may not yet have been plowed. In short, please exercise great caution if you are driving to campus and do allow extra time for your commute. Because weather and road conditions can vary widely across the Hampton Roads, some of you may face hazardous conditions that make travel treacherous. In that event, please stay home, email your supervisor or faculty member about your situation, and be safe. Don’t take chances. Crews have worked tirelessly to plow University parking lots and sidewalks, but snow remains in many places, so again please take care when driving, parking, and walking on campus.
