Productive day in our nation’s capital as presidents and chancellors of institutions from all sectors assembled to address important higher educational priorities. I enjoyed visiting with Joseph S. Johnston, Jr. (top left), son of Virginia Wesleyan’s first president, now Senior Consultant of the Association of Governing Boards. His wife Susan Whealler Johnston is Executive Vice President of AGB. Johnston Hall in VWU’s Allen Village is named after our founding president. Visited at lunch with Julie Wollman (top right), President of Widener University and former President of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania — two communities where I resided in earlier years. And pictured (bottom) with long-time colleagues Paul LeBlanc, President of Southern New Hampshire University, and Ted Mitchell, President of the American Council on Education. Paul has led SNHU from 2,500 students 15 years ago to over 90,000 students today.
