Annie and I enjoyed hosting lunch today at DeFord Manor with longtime friends and VWU benefactors Bill ('70) and Sally Shelhorse. Many years ago, Bill and Sally's father founded Chesapeake Bay Contractors, which has handled multiple projects on campus. Bill served on the VWU Board of Trustees for a number of years and is now Trustee Emeritus. They are pictured with the dedication commemoratives for the William S. Shelhorse Lawn and Ponds, which front the campus from DeFord Manor to Wesleyan Drive.
