Good morning,
Bethany professors and students go above and beyond to ensure success after graduation. Some students choose to attend graduate school, while some are eager to jump right into the work force. An outstanding 40%-45% of Bethany graduates choose to enroll in some sort of post-graduation school or program. In fact, Bethany has been recognized by US News & World Report for being among the top schools in the nation whose alumni go on to graduate school within a year of leaving the College.
The Office of Career Counseling and Preparation works with students to help them prepare for examinations they may take after graduating from Bethany. These exams include the GRE, LSAT, MCAT, OAT, and others. As graduation approaches, I encourage all students, especially seniors, to take full advantage of these opportunities so they can be as successful as possible in taking any of these exams.
If graduate school is not in your future, the Office of Career Counseling and Preparation is well equipped to help you with resume building, job searching, and preparing for interviews. Known as Bethanians Understanding Real Professions (B.U.R.P.), the Job Search Strategies Program gives students the opportunity to prepare themselves for the process of finding a job and the skills needed to network with others in their field.
I would like to wish the best of luck to all our graduating seniors, and hope that you find happiness in whatever you choose to do after Bethany. Remember, it’s never too early to begin the graduate-school or job-search process. Any questions pertaining to job-readiness or graduate school should be directed to the Office of Career Counseling and Placement at 304-829-7150.
