As I noted in my recent State of the College address, my
positive opinion of Virginia Wesleyan developed long before I arrived on
campus. I have now been immersed in the community for several weeks and am even
more impressed by you – our faculty and staff – who have such knowledge, talent
and commitment to Virginia Wesleyan and our students.
In this time of transition and progress on a number of
ambitious goals, it is paramount that Virginia Wesleyan faculty, staff, alumni,
families, students, trustees and friends work side-by-side for the success of
the College. For this reason, I hope you will join me in participating in this
year’s Annual Fund for Academic
Excellence Faculty and Staff Campaign.
Within a few days, you will be receiving my letter inviting
you to join me in by participating in this year’s campaign. A form will be
enclosed for your convenience in responding.
In addition, a number of staff and faculty have volunteered to serve to
follow up with you personally. I would like to extend my thanks to the
following for staff captains and faculty liaisons who have generously given of
their time and financial resources to ensure the campaign’s success.
