Earlier, I shared the appointment of
a Publications Committee whose focus would be to help unify our brand and
message across the wide variety of materials distributed on and off campus. The
committee met and provided valuable input, which lead to the creation of a
Virginia Wesleyan College Publications Plan presented to me on Oct. 1. The plan
outlines specific strategies based on three key areas of improvement:
- Improve the quality and brand consistency of Virginia Wesleyan College publications and printed promotions
- Review and consider reductions in print quantities in an effort to reduce costs, promote environmental stewardship and streamline communications
- Improve the College’s internal print production process
Some elements of the plan will be
put into place immediately, while others will be implemented gradually or as
needs arise.

Communications, for her leadership on this project.
