Good to hear from Professor Doug Kennedy and his Winter Session students, who are traveling Maui studying adventure travel's impact on culture and the environment. The group spent the day with cultural interpreters in their home village of Kauhakaloa and hiked in the Waihe'e valley surveying user impacts along the trail system. Another great example of the fascinating opportunities available through VWC’s three-week winter term. Also along for the trip is Jason Seward, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs.
