Marlins Run the Maui Oceanfront 5K

What do you do when you are an All-American and have to miss a track & field meet with your team because you're on an academic trip for your Winter Session class? You win the nearest 5k road race you can find. Congrats to Marissa Coombs for winning the women's championship in the Maui Oceanfront 5k in Hawaii! She was the first female and 2nd overall finisher. This is the second year in a row one of our students has finished as the first female at Maui. As well, Dillon Thompson, a member of the men's soccer team, finished first in the 20-24 age group.  Thank you to professor Doug Kennedy for arranging the logistics for Marissa to pull this off and congratulations for finishing second in his age group!
