I
hope you’ve had a chance to visit the Neil Britton Art Gallery to view
the works on display as part of the 2017 Senior Art Exhibition. Eight
Virginia Wesleyan seniors have debuted their final art as part of this
impressive two-part show.
The exhibition's second installment begins tomorrow, May 10, with an opening reception from 6-8 p.m. in the
gallery, located on campus inside Hofheimer Library. “Matters of the Mind”
features work by students Nicolette Burns, Britani Daily, Jaquelyn
Gabaldon, and Bianca Nonnemacher. It will remain on display through the
end of the semester.
The first part of the show, "Expressions," exhibited
work by seniors Cori Hailey, Caitlyn Hogge, Patricia Lopez, and Erika
Wright. This display came to an end last week with a closing reception
on Port Day.
Special thanks to John Rudel, Batten Associate
Professor of Art and Coordinator of Art Exhibitions, and the Virginia
Wesleyan Art Department for creating this valuable opportunity for
students to showcase their work in a highly professional setting.
Congratulations to our emerging artists, and thank you for sharing your incredible talents with our community!
