Visiting with the Virginian-Pilot's Benjy Hamm

I enjoyed visiting today with Benjy Hamm, new editorial page director of The Virginian-Pilot. For the past two years, I've written a monthly higher education column for the publication. Originally from Salisbury, N.C., Benjy began his career as a reporter at The Salisbury Post and has been an editor at The Herald-Journal in Spartanburg, S.C., at The Associated Press and at The Lancaster News in Lancaster, S.C. Most recently, he is working for Landmark Community Newspapers in Louisville, Ky. advising about 50 newsrooms.
