Five Installed into Endowed Positions



Five members of the Bethany College faculty were recognized today with endowed distinctions at a ceremony in the Academic Parlour of Old Main. Joining Senior Vice President Sven de Jong (left) and me for the presentation: Dr. Lisa Reilly, The Goulding-Woolery Professor of Chemistry; Dr. Anju Ramjee (The John F. and Evelyn Casey Steen Professor of Finance); Dr. Joseph Walsh (The Matthew Quay Ammon Professor of Mathematics); Dr. David R. Black (Sarah B. Cochran Visiting Executive in Residence); and, Travis Straub (The R. Richard Renner Visiting Scholar in English).

It was a special day for Dr. Joseph Walsh, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, who was installed as The Matthew Quay Ammon Professor of Mathematics at Bethany College. Dr. Walsh (with plaque) is joined by Sven de Jong (Bethany Senior Vice President), Paul Gaberson, Carolyn Walsh, and Kathy Gaberson (benefactor who created the professorship in honor of her late son).
