Bethany College “Elevator Pitch” Card

Often in our travels, whether they be to Wheeling or Europe, we are always meeting new people and possibly prospective students or donors. Throughout the past six years our Office of Communications has dedicated time and effort to developing "Elevator Pitch" cards.

An Elevator Pitch, in business lingo, is a short summary that can help define a person, profession, product, service, or organization. The idea behind this is that if asked by a stranger, “Where is Bethany College and what is it noted for?” you should be able, within the time of a short elevator ride, to provide essential information. That could lead to an inquiry for enrollment or maybe even a gift to The Bethany Fund.

With Bethany's great resume of accomplishments as well as our outstanding reputation around the world, this basic information in printed, business-card size becomes one convenient method for communicating quickly our programs and reputation. The new Elevator Pitch cards are available from any of our Vice Presidents, the Director of Communications, or the Office of the President. We invite you to use them to communicate essential information about Bethany College—whether you are in or out of an elevator.
