Virginia Wesleyan College has once again been selected as a partner campus for
the Red Flag Campaign. This important nationwide public awareness movement uses a
bystander intervention strategy to encourage campus community members to say
something when they see warning signs ("red flags") for dating
violence, sexual assault or stalking in their friends' relationships.
The Red Flag Campaign will appear at Virginia Wesleyan during October as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Collaborative events have been planned by the College’s Red Flag Campaign Club and Dr. Alison Marganski's "Family Violence" class, as well as other student and faculty groups. I urge you to get involved and show your support for these meaningful initiatives:

- October 13: Placement of Red Flag Campaign posters (12 p.m., Marlin Grille)
- October 19-22: Clothesline Project/Love Shouldn't Hurt (10 a.m.-6 p.m., Student Conference Room, Batten Student Center)
- October 23-30: Clothesline Project T-shirt Display (Pathway between Batten Student Center and Hofheimer Library)
