Special Commencement is underway for six members of the Class of 2016
that played on the Virginia Wesleyan College softball team. Due to the
structure of the NCAA Regional Tournament and NCAA rules, the six were
unable to take part in yesterday's Commencement festivities. So in true
Virginia Wesleyan College style, complete with a full house crowd in
Pearce, we're having Commencement for six very special young ladies.
They finished the regular season as the top ranked team nationally in
NCAA Division III softball.
