Nota Bene: Department and Program Chairs

Virginia Wesleyan University Department and Program Chairs play an important role in the daily operation and overall success of our academic program. They represent their faculties and work closely with their peers to assess, develop, and implement program and policy initiatives.

Department Chairs are selected by faculty within their areas, and Program Chairs are chosen directly by Provost and Vice President Timothy O’Rourke. Both serve three-year terms, subject to approval by Provost O’Rourke and me.
